The beam was easy to install, and my granddaughter is loving it

My daughter is a gymnast and has been struggling with fear and confidence on the high beam. I wanted something for her that wasn’t too expensive and was more than those pads that are beam shaped squishy pads that sit on the floor. The quality of the beam seems great so far. Contrary to what other reviewers mentioned we actually love that the purple is more cranberry/plum colored. The reason I give it 4/5 stars is that the material is not what a true beam is covered with. My daughter wants to work on her turns and is unable to bc of the material, it’s not smooth like the traditional beam. It’s been great though for cartwheels, back walkovers, leaps and jumps. She is a little worried it will be hard to transition back and forth bc the beams at the gym are not as soft as this one, although it feels pretty firm to me. Overall I’m glad we bought it, but wanted to give an honest review for any gymnasts out there who are interested.

I purchased this for my grandaughter's 3rd birthday. She loves her gymnastics class and wanted to work on her balance beam skills at home. :) She was so excited to receive this!! I bought this for my granddaughter’s 5th birthday! What a hit! She can already land her cartwheels and usually “sticks”the landing.

I purchased this for my granddaughter and she absolutely loves it. She’s been in gymnastics for a few and this beam helps her on days she doesn’t go to practice.
It was a very simple setup and the price is extremely fair (imo) this day and age for a high quality, “practice-at-home” balance beam. It truly is 8 ft long and you may have difficulty in a smaller roomer finding a space to store it out of sight, but it’s worth it to me and my wife because the mental and physical health benefits this provides for our daughter are top tier. Her balance and strength have improved drastically and so has her confidence! She does gymnastics every weekend and this balance beam has been a fun way to improve and work on things while making it not feel like another checklist task. Highly recommend to parents of younger gymnastic enthusiasts!
